Rise is a mobile and web platform that aims to revolutionize healthcare by promoting healthy living through the principles of lifestyle medicine. Its an intersection of technology, entertainment, and community where the focus is to be proactive with people’s health and lifestyle.
The primary objective of our admin panel is to streamline the content upload process and facilitate user management. We aim to empower admins with the ability to upload content in smaller, more manageable parts, such as by episodes or segments. This will allow for efficient review and editing before finalizing uploads. Additionally, the panel should provide intuitive tools for organizing and managing seasons and episodes, ensuring a seamless workflow for content administrators.
How Might We streamline content upload for admins, reducing errors and workload while accelerating content availability?
As the Admin Panel, we collaborated closely with the mobile development team to guarantee comprehensive feature implementation. We established a centralized file for design specifications, ensuring clarity and consistency across the project.
Furthermore, we meticulously aligned on user flows and data structures, optimizing the user experience and data integrity. Our efforts extended to maintaining a cohesive UI/UX, resulting in a visually appealing and intuitive interface. To safeguard sensitive information, we implemented robust security protocols, regulated data access, and established secure file upload mechanisms.
App Reflection onto Admin
To achieve design consistency across the Admin Panel and App within a tight timeframe, we leveraged the Material Design system. This pre-built library provided a foundation of reusable components like navigation drawers, toggles, and buttons, which we then customized to align with Rise's unique brand guidelines. This approach not only ensured a cohesive user experience but also accelerated the development process.
As the Admin Panel, we recognized the limited user base consisting of just the administrators and health experts. To streamline data management processes, we researched existing platforms like Jira and Google. Drawing from these examples, we aimed to create an intuitive and user-friendly system for file management and uploads.

It was an interesting experience having to work on the admin panel side. As the users that we are catering to are on client calls, it was a very straightforward design process because the goal was to keep information simple, intuitive and organized while keeping the brand styles intact. This was also one of earlier times where I used material design as a jumpstart which made the process a lot smoother.
What’s Next?
The Admin Panel's final feature set will depend heavily on the functionalities implemented in the mobile app. Admin functionalities will need to accommodate the user experience on the app side. Beyond this core dependency, user testing with admins will be crucial. Through user testing, we can identify potential areas for improvement, such as opportunities for bulk actions or streamlining features that may not be heavily utilized.
